Investment Opportunity
The Approved Residential Scheme provides stakeholders and investors a means to develop within North East Hamilton and the North East Local Plan 2022 indicates development opportunity sites bounded by; North Street, King Street, Victoria Street and Cedar Avenue the latter being one of the main entrances to the City of Hamilton. The North East Hamilton Local Plan legislated in July 2022 stipulates the districts, characteristics and policies that provides a framework for development within the NEH community. Each area has distinct qualities and characteristics to build upon.
UDA will provide Development Briefs to applicants that desire to build within NEH. It contains an informational guide regarding the development sites, the locations, local plan policies, photographs of the various lots ripe for development. The document has the specifications for the applicant’s agent to provide details to both the Minister and the Department of Planning. This will assist with streamlining the process.
