This area is a cultural gem. There has not been large residential developments in over a decade, but there is a demand to see this historic area revived.
Regenerating our community
UDA was established as the lead agency to drive the Existing Empowerment Zone (EEZ) Land Use Strategy, the Approved Residential Scheme (ARS) Design Guidelines, the North East Hamilton Local Plan 2022 and the economic, social and environmental policies of the North East Hamilton Economic Empowerment Zone.
